Three Teeth
Kenneth’s second molar, besides having an existing amalgam, is severely decayed. Rather than do a crown, Dr. LeSage restored the entire chewing surface with composite.

There is recurrent decay around this old, corroded amalgam restoration. Dr. LeSage replaced it with a ceramic onlay.
Onlay on Lower Molar
This patient has old, corroded amalgam restorations on two teeth on the upper left. The first molar has an existing composite and new decay. Dr. LeSage has placed a ceramic inlay on the premolar and restored the two molars with composite.
Upper Left Quadrant
The amalgam restoration on this lower right molar has been replaced with a ceramic onlay.
Lower Right Molar
These three teeth have failing gold restorations. On the right, Dr. LeSage has replaced them with ceramic onlays.

Dr. LeSage has replaced this corroded, leaking, fractured amalgam restoration with a laboratory-processed composite onlay.
Composite Onlay
There was new decay on both of these molars. Dr. LeSage cleaned out the decay and placed new ceramic inlays.
