There are many excellent cosmetic dentists in Beverly Hills, and it is difficult to objectively say that any one is the best. We don’t claim that for Dr. LeSage. But if you are looking for the top cosmetic dentist, consider his numerous honors and awards, listed below. There are cosmetic dentists in other parts of the country who have said that he is among the best cosmetic dentists in the world. Is that actually true? We wouldn’t say that. But note that there are many patients who have even flown in from other countries to have him do their smile makeovers.
Credentials
- Dr. LeSage is an Accredited Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Accreditation by the AACD is a designation that is achieved by passing examinations consisting of a written test, the presentation of actual cases, and an oral examination. Accredited Fellowship is granted to those accredited cosmetic dentists who continue to present multiple cases of flawless cosmetic dentistry. Check the membership roster of the AACD to see if a dentist has passed the accreditation examinations.
- Membership in the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry is granted by invitation only by recognized experts in cosmetic dentistry. Fellowship designation is also by reputation. Check the list of Fellows in the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry to see if a dentist is among those with such a reputation among other cosmetic dentists. Dr. LeSage has been elected a Fellow in this academy.
- Dr. LeSage is one of only three cosmetic dentists in the world with fellowship in both of these organizations.
- Beyond being an Accredited Fellow of the AACD, Dr. LeSage was the chair of AACD Fellowship from 2004 to 2013.

On Looking for the Best Cosmetic Dentist
It can be helpful to look for dentists that celebrities choose. But when you see any claim by a dentist to have celebrities as patients, look carefully for photographs of the smile makeover the dentist did for that celebrity. Just seeing the photograph of the dentist with the celebrity may not necessarily mean that the dentist has done a smile makeover or any other work for that patient. Dr. LeSage, while he doesn’t like to use photographs of his celebrity patients for marketing purposes, has done beautiful smile makeovers for a number of celebrities.
Also, look for actual credentials. A cosmetic dentist, to be truly expert, should be able to pass the accreditation examinations of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Check to see if they have that credential.
